The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (#903) listed their poll results for "The Scariest Boogeyman is...". Freddy Krueger won second place, with 27% of the vote. First place went to Halloween villian Michael Myers, with 29% of the vote. See the list below for total votes:

while the most brutal sadistic is "freddy" on par with "pinhead" and "jigsaw"
