SE Nightmare 1 DVD Release

A special edition DVD of A Nightmare On Elm Street is scheduled for an October, 2006 release in the US. Among the new features will be a documentary (tentatively) titled: Never Sleep Again: The Making of A Nightmare On Elm Street. More on this to come.

Announced for a July 11, 2006 release is the fifth novel from Black Flame: A Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Dealers.

Story description: It’s a step into the future. Dreams can be recorded and played back as a form of entertainment on the DreamBox. To create one thrilling DreamBox program, dreams have been teased out of the preserved brains of Freddy Krueger’s past victims. This program is being tested on a group of teenagers who not only experience the dreams of Freddy’s former victims, but also begin having their own dangerous nightmares. One of the kids has made a pirate copy of the program and is creating free access to it via the Internet. That would mean the evil influence of Freddy Krueger would go global. Preorder your copy today!

Also, check out a Q&A with author Jeffrey Thomas regarding the release under Articles & Interviews.

A Nightmare On Elm Street: Fearbook

Avatar Press has announced the release of A Nightmare On Elm Street: Fearbook. This one-shot issue will be the concluding chapter to Brian Pulido’s storyline that began in the NOES Special from last year. The issue is slated for a June, 2006 release with six variant covers available to customers. A Trade Paperback release containing the NOES Special, NOES Paranoid mini-series, & NOES Fearbook is rumored to be in development.

Note: Due to A Nightmare On Elm Street: Paranoid #3 still has not been released, it’s more than likely that Fearbook will not meet its ship date in June. For more on the comic releases, see the Comic Books page.

Welcome to The Nightmare On Elm Street Companion Blog! The entries featured here will focus on news and the current going-ons with the horror series A Nightmare On Elm Street. You will also see many references to a website titled: The Nightmare On Elm Street Companion, a website I created and still maintain based on the series. I’ll be using this blog to take a more personal stance, though this blog is attached to the website, it does not rely upon it – nor the other way around.

This blog will also (from time to time) feature other horror related news or reviews.

Disclaimer: Don’t take the commitment of reading this blog lightly, as I tend to ramble and/or go off in tangents.
