wild storm's nightmare on elm street: you'll never sleep again!:Freddy's War part 1

some unnamed girl appears in the school hallway with "Go springwood!" sheet hanging up.
asks hello! anybody here?, somewhere behind her freddy's glove scratches sparks across the lockers
the girl dosen't hear, stares on the sticked notes on the wall "all practices are cancelled"
one note catches her attention most " brandy showlater cancelled" suddenly in fear she notices freddy,who is ready to cut!(off-panel). the girl wakes up already dead in her room, her blood is splatterd all over.

some teenagers
brother (brad) and sister (jade) sitting on the couch near some house talking, about
how they are tired with their dad moving from one house to another.
jade notices some pepole in uniforms from the neighborhood house, are transporting a bodybag
to a black car(the killed girl earlier) a strange preteen girl on a kids bycycle appears out of nowhere tells jade :her name was brandy showlater she was my babysitter jade aks what happend to her
the little girl reply: freddy , jade dosen't understand the girl: you'll see.
as she passes away, jade wakes up and asks her brother if he seen the little girl brad tells her that he did'nt see anything, you must be took a nap for a few seconds.
their dad is very tochy about his wife's things warns the workers to be careful with the stuff or she would kill him, brad thinks its creepy jade and brad talk how dad still blames on himself the
dead of their mother on himself 5 years ago, even tough it was a plane crash
jade notices again the pepole transporting a bodybag onto the hearse asks her brother again if he sure he didn't saw some little girl brad nah i didn't then jokingly asks his sis when she get a
asylum commition can he borrow her Ipod.

the kids anf thier dad have some pizza dinner they talk about some of their box how ever since he taped it shut, he never opened it. brad: whats in it dad: i have no idea then he tells that
springwood is their final stop for sure because 1: the best job offer he got was only here
2:the school's here have the highest grade point average in the state, brad is fine with that but jade is a bit uncomfortable

some time later, some teacher ask jade: is it some joke? jade suddenly finds her self half-naked in front of the whole class, speechless she runs away and sees her bro, brad? Brad? but he dosen't notices or hears her he walks away into a "boiler room" room jade don't get it, the strange little girl again appears, tells her why he cant see or hear her, jade confused asks if she's dreaming
the little girl: and soo is your brother. jade turns away for a SEC thinks about the craziness of all this ,turns back and the littlegirl is no where to be found. jade ingnores and walks in to the boiler room, she wonders and looks around for brad she notices a large amount of gas is poured on the floor, jade says alright lets just wake up.but freddy has other things in mind (only his hand seen)drops down the gas canister and lits up a match. jade finds her brother strapped to a school board on a mountain of books all covered in liquid gas, jade attempts to free him but he tells her its too late run away NOW jade, freddy drops the match from afar anf the cute boy lits up like a christmas tree with painful screams. jade wakes up and rushed to her brother's room dady wakes up too but its indeed too late, brad is burned down to Mr.crispy.
some time later father and daughter holdin a funeral to "bradley lee arnstrum son and brother"

jade and her dad stop by at "pancakes" place. dad asks her if brad commited suicide out of depression because it wasn't an accident the firefolks told that atleast five gallons of gas burned in his room. jade is not sure but it wasn't an suicide and she had a similar dream before brad died, dady is confused a bit, jade fills up another cup of coffe and tells her dad :she dosen't want to dream anymore. later jade has a conflict with the gym coach womanbully to keep swimming sessions despite
her hand injuries after the accident one in such swimmings she dozes off anf freddy pulled her down to underwater to drawn,but she waked up in time, then full drenched in the office of unreasonably pissed off on her teacher in denail of what really happend(just like always). then jade walks away and stops by at the caffeetria where she orders a large quantities of coffee just to make sure this time, also she meets there new friend some punk rock/goth girl name's "kaylee" who shares this habit, telling jade that she skipps classes too to get some doze of coffee and knows that freddy set his sights on her too. jade suprised a bit , kaylee says every kid in springwood knows about him
,jade now fully convinced that the monster from the dream killed her bro! kaylee tells the basic rule: he kills you in the dream you die for real. kaylee then gives an short backstory about freddy krueger, his demise at the hands of parnets and that he just keeps coming form his grave to kill more. jade asks then what about the little girl but here is where kaylee is out of knowledge about some mysterious girl? better you ask her, jade: i will if i fall asleep again.

later in the night jade is in her house, sits tired on the couch watching tv, jade slowly dozes off
and freddy appears behind (full panel) and slices his claws around her back with the sarcastic
"let me fluff those pillows for you jade so you can take a nice long nap" jade screams in fear
but luckily wakes up in time agian, dad heared that and rushed down the stairs into the living room
with a bat and what the Hell happend talk, jade in stress tell he killed brad in his sleep he comes to our dreams and kills us for real you think i am crazy you just won't listen, dady is confused but
but he suddenly realizes that his daughter isn't crazy as a 4 slash marks across her back catches his trust dad : tell me everything in detail of what you know about this deadly threat

peronal opinion: generaly pretty good issue-story and art just a few acceptable flaws if any.

notes: judging form the kids father comment about why they moved to springwood, proves
webmaster's theroy in the FAQ as qualified.
the blurred flashback accounting of freddy's dead at the parents hand is in conflict with the movies
however, we see this from kaylee's point of view so she might be inaccurate in the deatils?
kaylee might be the last surviving member of the gothgirls group after the events of avatar's "paranoia"
the story most likely taking place after avatar's "paranoia" as kaylee confirms that every kid now knows about the freddy threat (even though its a story from a different company still there is nothing yet that conflicts between them)
brad couldn't get killed by freddy, not unless he was pulled into his sister's dream or something other wich hopefuly would be explained in the later issues.

I'm waiting for this first story to end before I make comments on it - I feel it's too early in the game yet.
